Enthusiasm
I started going to a group on campus called FOCUS (Fellowship of Christian University Students) that meets every week. Both undergrad, and grad students come together for fellowship and worship. After a long week, it was exactly what I needed. A student that spoke this week talked about the word enthusiasm. Enthusiasm comes from the Greek word Entheos; En meaning in, and theos meaning God. The way this student described it, was that to have enthusiasm, means to show that we have God inside of us. When we are having a bad week, do we let people see it through being grumpy, sad, hiding out in our apartments? Or, do we have enthusiasm, and show others that whatever made this day bad won't hold us back because we have God. This really changed my way at looking at things. My goal is to be more enthusiastic. It is hard sometimes (especially when you take the hardest test of your life and feel miserable about it) but think about how much happier you will be if you carry on your day with enthusiasm.
